OUR STORY
With roots in plastics trading, tracing back more than four decades, Lean Giap understands first-hand the importance of sustainability within the manufacturing industry, especially regarding material circularity.
We started our sustainability journey in 2018 with the first installation of the In.Tech conference, which was centred around sustainability and the circular economy within the plastics industry. The positive reception during the conference affirmed our belief that industry players strongly desire to embrace sustainability, but many do not know where and how to start.
Since pivoting into impact investment, we have empowered sustainable solutions that enable transformation within multiple industries.
Today, we continue to explore new innovative solutions with the potential to speed up the industry’s transition towards a circular economy. We leverage the strengths of our impact investments and partners to build a Sustainable Supply Chain that empowers manufacturers.

OUR JOURNEY
1979
Lean Giap was founded by Dato Teoh Chew Peng & Co-founder Mr. Teoh Him Hoe, as a material solutions provider to plastic manufacturers in Malaysia.
1991
Toling Corporation was formed as a joint venture with Itochu Corporation to be the sole distributor for Lotte Titan Chemical.
2011
LGE Plastics was established to better focus on serving customers looking for engineering plastics solutions.
2021
Nuplas Solutions was formed to provide circular waste management solutions to our customers & suppliers.
2018
Organised the first In.Tech Conference, a sustainability-focused gathering of key industry players.
2023
Lean Giap formally pivots into Sustainability & Impact Investment, leveraging our unique position in the industry to help stakeholders transition into a more sustainable future.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Profit should come from acts that benefit people and planet.
We firmly believe that sustainability should not be a zero-sum game between profitability and the environment. Guided by the Japanese philosophy of Kyosei (meaning to thrive together), our impact investments are centered around achieving a triple bottom line, where returns are measured by creating positive impact towards the environment and society on top of financial profitability.
Through our impact investments, we want to reduce the operational burden of sustainability innovators. We want them to focus on creating value for manufacturers through their impact and be rewarded for the positive impact they bring to society and the environment.

As a team, we believe that individual excellence is the key to achieving team success. We keep our team lean and flexible, handpicking individuals who fit our vision and have the drive to grow both individually and as a team to lead Lean Giap towards becoming the catalyst for transitioning to circular economy.
While strength in numbers will always hold true, we prefer to stay nimble and adaptable to whatever challenges that may come our way, because we understand that sustainability solutions require a trailblazing spirit, innovative mindset, and the courage to create solutions where there are none.
